This away fixture takes place at the York Sport Stadium on Sunday 6th October, with kick-off at 2.00 pm.

After bowing out of the FAWNL Plate last weekend, the Coasters head into October with a mission to rediscover their form when they return to action in the FAWNL Division One North.

Last time out, the Coasters produced a resolute performance against Wolves Women in the First Round of the Plate. Playing at Wolves’ Compton Park training ground, the Coasters acquitted themselves well against higher-league opposition but were punished in key moments of the tie as the hosts ran out 3-0 winners to advance to the next round of the competition.

Looking ahead, the Coasters have been working hard on the training pitch to prepare for their next assignment away to York City Ladies. The MinsterBelles did not have a first team fixture last weekend, while their previous league game away to Middlesbrough Women was abandoned midway through the second half following a medical incident on the pitch. Fortunately, the player involved was assessed by medical staff and later discharged from hospital.

Prior to that midweek clash at Middlesbrough, York City Ladies regrettably parted company with their first team manager Chris Holloway. The club is now searching for a new first team manager to take the helm and guide them up the table.

York City Ladies have struggled for form in the early stages of the season with just one win to their name so far, which came in a 3-2 away victory over Norton & Stockton Ancients in early September. Nevertheless, the Reds will be raring to go when they entertain Fylde at the York Sport Stadium on Sunday afternoon. As for the visitors, the Coasters will have to produce a strong display if they are to come away with a positive result.
