AFC Fylde Women bring the curtain down on the 2023/24 season with a visit to Southerns Stadium in Leeds to face Halifax FC Women.
This away fixture takes place on Sunday 5th May, with kick-off at 2.00 pm.
The final matchday of the season sees the Coasters travel across to West Yorkshire to take on the Eagles.
The Coasters only have pride to play for after their relegation from the FAWNL Northern Premier Division was confirmed last month. However, Jake Williams's and Steve Mainwaring's team are determined to sign off the season on a positive note.
It was a tough day at the office for the Coasters last weekend with a 5-0 reverse to Stoke City Women at Emerys Stadium in Staffordshire.
Following an early dismissal, Fylde were forced to play most of the game with only ten players. The in-form Potters made full use of their player advantage by registering five goals without reply.
As for their next opponents, Rob Mitchell’s Halifax side have enjoyed a remarkably successful season and could finish as high as sixth in the standings after this weekend's results.
The Eagles are soaring high off the back of three wins out of their last four games, including an impressive 2-1 home victory over Wolves Women last Wednesday evening. Goals from Lucy Sowerby and Georgia Stevens were enough to settle a closely fought contest at New Manor Ground.
As the two teams get set for this Sunday’s season finale, the Coasters will be looking to upset the form book as they bring their campaign to a close in West Yorkshire.
