Marc brings with him a wealth of experience across both the men’s and women’s game with his most recent role being at Liverpool Feds in Tier Three of the Women’s pyramid. He has helped the Merseyside club to an impressive record over the past couple of seasons and they have started this season well again with five wins in their first nine games.

Previously, Marc managed Tranmere Rovers Women and before that spent eight years in America, working full time in coaching roles before returning to the UK in 2021.

Chief Operating Officer Pete Sutton said: “We had applications from some incredibly strong candidates and after a thorough interview process, we are delighted to have Marc join AFC Fylde as Head Coach for the Women’s team.

“As a club, we are committed to growing and progressing the female game and we are sure that Marc is the right person to help us drive forward with our long term strategy both on and off the pitch.

“We know we have the platform to build on. We have amazing facilities, including our stand-alone women’s stadium and club training centre. We have numerous sponsors this season which we are forever grateful for, and our supporter following for the Women’s team is growing.

“We want to make sure we give them a brand of football that everyone can be proud of which we are sure Marc will help deliver.”

After joining the club, Marc added: “It feels really good to be here and I’m excited to get going.

“I’ll meet the group and get straight into it from a training and matchday standpoint. The stadium and the training complex are brilliant and the girls have a really good set up so I’m looking forward to getting involved and supporting them wherever I can as a manager.

“I had a fantastic experience with a great group at Liverpool Feds and we were competing with some of the biggest clubs in the country as a grassroots club so I’m sad to have left but they’re in a really good place.

“But I’m looking forward to getting started here. We’ve got Durham this weekend in probably our furthest trip which will be a tough task but I’m excited and ready to get going.”

Everyone at AFC Fylde welcomes Marc to the club and wishes him all the best within his new role.
